When Your Pet Needs Surgery
If the need arises for your pet to have surgery, placing them in capable hands is simply not enough. Knowing they are under the care of a skilled veterinary surgeon with a well-trained and compassionate support staff not only improves the chances of a speedy recovery, but it will also give you some well-deserved peace of mind.
At the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill, we pride ourselves on the quality of the surgeries we perform. Our surgical team consists of three doctors and a team of technicians, each trained specifically for surgery. Most of the procedures performed at the Animal of Rocky Hill feature two technicians at the side of the surgeon, along with 24-hour care and monitoring if necessary.
Some of the more common procedures at the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill include:
- Spay and neuters
- Dental extractions
- Cherry eye
- Stenotic nares (fixes congenital breathing condition of short-nosed breeds of dogs, such as pugs, Boston terriers, and French bulldogs)
The Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill features the latest in veterinary equipment, including digital X-ray, a full range of in-house diagnostics equipment, top-of-the-line monitoring equipment, and a CO2 laser.
Our laser has replaced traditional surgery techniques in many of the procedures performed in our facility. It’s efficiency means we can use less anesthesia on your pet, and the fact there is no blade means it’s cleaner and poses less of a threat in terms of infection. In addition, there is less trauma, bleeding, pain, and swelling than what is associated with traditional surgery.
